Harmony Park Academy Primary School
Teaching Staff
Nikki (Nicole Carlton)
 |
Character portrait by: Saku |
Nikki is a 31-year-old teacher at Harmony Park Academy.
Around the children she has a Disney-princess-like personality, always speaking
softly, joining in games and singing time, and going out of her way to make
each child feel seen and heard. Outside of school she lives for a good time.
She still sings, and plays games, but with the volume turned up to 11. She drinks
and socializes with different groups of friends on different nights, often
encouraging Cú to match her drink for drink which is difficult despite her
size. She is constantly in a cycle of chasing the next fantasy she believes
will make her happy followed by dealing with the fallout of it not being
everything she hoped for.
Will Huet
 |
Character portrait by: Saku |
Will is a 23-year-old teacher at Harmony Park Academy and
this is their second year as a qualified teacher. They are full of energy and
have a bubbly, flirtatious attitude. In their youth, Will worked part-time as a
model and made a lot of money, but they didn’t like how unfulfilled it left
them and so decided to qualify as a teacher to do something they saw as
valuable. Now as a teacher, they are still the butt of everyone’s jokes,
including the children who refer to Will as Mx. Puppy thanks to their high energy
and playfulness. Despite the 10-year age difference, Will often tries to drag
Cú out after school and always attaches themself to him at work events, seeing
him as a mentor and confidante which they playfully refer to as “daddy.”
Maddie (Madeleine Truong)
 |
Character portrait by: Saku |
Maddie is a 44-year-old teacher at Harmony Park Academy. In
school she is a strict and serious educator that demands respect from those
around her. Outside of school, she often appears the same way, handling
business with a no-nonsense attitude. Mother of two rowdy teenagers, and wife
to a semi-famous chef, she constantly feels like she’s torn between worlds.
Some days she is the strict teacher, others she is the anxious coddling mother,
and often she must appear as the perfect wife who inspires her hard-working
husband. Between it all, she deals with intense mood swings while trying to keep
it all under control. She is a wealth of wisdom to all the other teachers at
Harmony Park Academy and also an occasional drinking buddy to Will, Nikki and
Cú who are the closest thing she has to friends outside of family.

Eevie (Evelyn Fung)
 |
Character portrait by: Saku |
Eevie is an overachieving young girl with aspirations of
becoming either a doctor or a prosecutor like her mother. Although she is
pleasant and polite, she can at times be abrasive, particularly when judging
another person’s worth or value. She works very hard for her achievements, with
a different extracurricular for every day of the week and expects others who
don’t must be lazy. She’s obsessed with cartoons, particularly ones about
superheroes and magical girls.
Rashid Javed
 |
Character portrait by: Saku |
Rashid is a child who is typically quiet, letting the world
go on around him. He likes playing games by himself, typically video, card and
board games, but will allow others to join him as long as they follow the rules
and aren’t too loud. He has issues with loud noises and changes to his
schedule, but otherwise tends to just vibe happily in his own lane. He and
Lizzy are childhood friends and neighbours and she treats him like a little
brother, looking out for him when other children make him uncomfortable or
bully him.
Lizzy (Elizabeth Agyemang)
 |
Character portrait by: Saku |
Lizzy is a child who acts like an adult. Despite being 9,
she lost her mother at a young age and took on many of the household chores
including getting her three younger brothers to and from school every morning.
She is always going out of her way to help others and never asks for anything
in return. When she grows up, she wants to be an architect like her father, and
for now she is talented at art, especially drawing comics.
Jeremy Johnson (JJ to his friends)
 |
Character portrait by: Saku |
Jeremy is the loudest and most disruptive child in Cú’s
class. He is always trying to make a joke out of everything and says rude,
sometimes profanity filled insults to other children which he plays off as
“bants.” Because of this, he doesn’t have many close friends, but the other
children do laugh at his jokes and play with him since he brings his own
football to school despite it being against the rules. He genuinely doesn’t
mean any harm and does his best to apologize when someone is hurt by him.
Ricky Leal
 |
Character portrait by: Saku |
Ricky is a tender child, who has always been babied by his
parents. Due to this, he can be a bit of a crybaby, whining and complaining
when things don’t go his way. He is intelligent and caring, often going out of
his way to look after others. Surprisingly, he is best friends with Jeremy, the
pair’s families being long-time friends and neighbours. Despite being twice his
size, Ricky laughs along when Jeremy teases him and often gets into conflicts
preventing his friend from being beaten up for something he said.
Saoirse Doherty
 |
Character portrait by: Saku |
Saoirse is a quiet girl who transfers into Cú’s class a few
weeks after the start of term. She is typically quiet and reserved, appearing
scared of Cú in particular. If people rub her the wrong way she doesn’t
hesitate to hurt them physically. Her grandfather works at a job that makes the
pair move around often and so she hasn’t finished a full year in one school
since she was 5. Lizzy and Eevie go out of their way to befriend her, which she
accepts begrudgingly.
Pupals!

Pupal sticker collection and chibi design by False |
Pupals are the mascot characters of Féileacán Cú and a stand in for the fanbase. The main form of Pupals go through three life periods. They begin in a small egg with a gem and design on it, hatch out into a larval stage which is like a mixture of a puppy and caterpillar, form a chrysalis and spend their pupa stage mostly resting as their bodies develop, and then finally emerge as a full grown Pupal which is a mixture of a butterfly and dog. They won't be a part of the story for a while, but definitely exist in the world.
Pupals come in all kinds of shapes and sizes, and if you'd like to enroll as a Pupal, you can also create your very own Pupalsona which can be a mixture of any parts of any of the life cycles of butterfly and dog, or get more creative and really make the design your own!
The Children of Caisleán
 |
Art and Designs by: Saku |
Cub
11-year-old Cub is a child who thinks himself something of a prince. Not so much in an arrogant way, more as in he wishes to prove himself equal to any other man and worthy in others' eyes. This often leads to him taking on too much responsibility and biting off more than he can chew. He patrols Caisleán, along with his Pupal, ready to deal with any trespassers he meets. Thankfully, he hasn't had to yet.

Ewe
10-year-old Ewe presents herself as the perfect princess. You'd be hard pressed to find a moment that she doesn't keep this persona in place. Nonetheless, she is still a child and has moments where she lets that side out, laughing hysterically at the smallest things, making messes (and then cleaning them up in regret,) or fighting her brother when no-one else is looking.

Widow
At 4 years old, Widow thinks that the world revolves around her and is very often proven right by those closest to her. Quick to throw a tantrum and make demands, she is full of energy and surprisingly well spoken for such a small child. Her favourite things in the world are the Pupals which she tortures plays with in a very spirited manner.
